even the meanest nastiest new york theatre gays in my life have had nothing but good things to say about jon chu’s wicked. that alone should have brought me comfort but for some reason i felt scared? i don’t know why. i am someone who never really Loved wicked and from frame 1 was obsessed with cats. to be fair, not even james corden could ruin my love for any iteration of andrew lloyd webber’s greatest work! REGARDLESS, i knew two things: that i would be seated for wicked and that i needed it to be good.
