sunday scaries: world dominionation

i have beat the summertime sadness and covid allegations!!!!!!! so now back to regularly scheduled programming 💜

someone recently reminded me that the song “where is the love” by the black eyed peas exists. when this certified bop and a half dropped in 2003, i was 10 and i used to get an extension cord outside to plug in my mini boombox so i could choreograph dances to that song (and ones featured on the hilary duff album metamorphosis) in my driveway. the song was actually inspired by the societal fallout post-9/11. 15 years later, they remixed and re-released it and it is truly one of the worst things i have ever heard! but the original is still an all-timer for me and the perfect backdrop of this sunday scaries as i am also wont to got me thinking WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD MAMA??? people truly DO be acting like they ain’t got no mama. so press play on one of the few times justin timberlake sounded good without the loving embrace of timbaland to smooth out his grating far inferior than jc chasez voice and let’s dive in to a few of the things that have chilled me to the bone!
