the 2025 oscars ceremony takes place in a few days but once again, in my not so humble opinion, they have gotten it EXTREMELY wrong. my big three of 2024 were challengers, nosferatu, and trap! longlegs and babygirl also got snubbed for…emilia perez. some world we live in… clearly the academy and i have very different ideas of what excellent cinema looks like. very rarely have i thought that the academy has gotten it right so i thought i would compare my favourite films over the past 25 years to the ones the academy awarded best picture. unlike the academy, i have a heart AND taste. i think great films should make you feel Something Good not need a dramamine after watching. we listen and we don’t judge…
