crazy how paddington 2 swept every award category for the fifth year in a row!!!!

somehow we live in a world where neither angelmamiii7 nor britney jean spears have been nominated for their short film contributions on zuckerberger’s instagram! and thusly the academy continues to be in its decades long flop era! as always, i am your friend who will always tell the waiter if they get your order wrong, ask the dj to play that song you are too embarrassed to ask for, and watch every oscar nominated film so you do not have to! please enjoy this idiot’s guide to this year’s nominees:

1. belfast: if you are in the mood for irish, i would recommend derry girls instead! this was just not fun! or all that good. and yes jamie dornan did give a breathtaking career making performance with a gorgeous musical number….in barb and star! so why is this movie nominated instead?? <3 if you do not love black and white films, kinda flimsy plotlines, and/or kenneth braunaugh films…. i would not recommend this one…especially when barb and star is right there !🚫
